Last week Charlie Sheen made national news (CNN Showbiz Tonight 7pm) three nights in a row, with coverage continuing every day so far this week as well. What newsworthy event prompted such coverage? Mr. Sheen has announced that he thinks the government has been covering up the truth about 9/11. Charlie thinks 9/11 was an inside job! Maybe you don’t care what he thinks, he’s just an actor. Perhaps you want the opinion of an expert like Steven E Jones, professor of Physics at BYU. Maybe he’s too theoretical for you. You want someone from the applied sciences. May I suggest Clemson engineering professor Judy Wood. Maybe you don’t care for ’eggheads’. You want to hear from a true patriot, a military man, like former head of Star Wars and air force colonel, Bob Bowman. Maybe you’re not into poetry. Prose is more your style. How about Webster Tarpley author of 9/11 Synthetic Terror made in USA? Maybe you don’t trust actors, authors or poets. You want to hear from a man of God. How about David Ray Griffin theologian, professor emeritus at the Claremont School of Theology? What could a theologian know about national security? You want to hear from an insider to the covert world. How about CIA analyst Ray McGovern, an expert on National Security who’s career spanned JFK to GHW Bush? Maybe you’ve had enough of Washington bureaucrats. What about an elected official like former U.S. congressman Dan Hamburg? OK, he’s a Republican, but that was back in the Reagan days. Maybe you need to hear from someone in GW’s administration. How about Morgan Reynolds professor emeritus at Texas A&M University and chief economist for the US Department of Labor during Bush’s first term? Maybe you don’t want to listen to any of these individuals, but the fact is, a lot of Americans agree with them. US deserter ’shocked by abuses’
A number of US soldiers have deserted
A US soldier who fled to Canada to avoid serving in Iraq says he was shocked by alleged atrocities committed by the American military.
Josh Key was speaking before Canada’s refugee board hearing his asylum plea.
Among the incidents, he described soldiers kicking the severed head of an Iraqi like a football in Ramadi.
Mr Key served as an explosives expert in Iraq for eight months, and deserted to Canada with his family in 2004. He faces a court martial back in the US.
The soldier, 27, also told Canada’s refugee board he saw a US army squad leader shooting the foot off an unarmed Iraqi man.
The army’s attitude in Iraq was "just shoot and ask questions later", Mr Key said.
Appeal
Mr Key says he refuses to fight in a war he regards as immoral and illegal.
About 20 US soldiers have applied for asylum in Canada. Two have already had their applications rejected.
The Immigration and Refugee Board said it was not convinced the men would face persecution if they were sent back to the US. They have said they will appeal against the decision.
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Key said he was in Iraq when he realised the war was unjustified.
"The only people that were getting hurt was the innocent; that was innocent Iraqi people, as well as innocent soldiers."
On his return to the US, he told the army that he did not want to return, but was advised that he would face prison if he refused. It was then that he decided to desert.
"Before I went to Iraq, I was trained on how to escape terrorists. You learn to only go where crime is already at. You only go somewhere where who cares about a deserter if somebody is getting murdered every night. I went to Philadelphia," he said.
He spent 14 months in the city, before deciding to flee to Canada.
During the Vietnam war, more than 100,000 Americans went to the neighbour country to avoid the draft.

As I begin to type this column, I\’m waiting for the start of a Discovery Channel TV special: Flight 93 — the Flight That Fought Back. As I wait, I\’m seething inside, because I already know that they will not tell the whole story. They can\’t, because — despite their corporate connections to big cable-system operators and their corporate connections to the News Corporation — the Discovery Channel also has interlocking connections with the money behind the \"mainstream\" media (MSM). And, the MSM cabal has been keeping a dirty secret for four years: Flight 93 was shot down.
Over two years ago, I did research for an e-book about this topic. No publisher would touch it. In retrospect, I now understand that publishers were not only afraid of retributions by the Federal government. They were also afraid of reprisals by the MSM and their lawyers. Why? Because, if a book proved that the MSM had lied to the American public (and the world) about such a key event, then it would open the floodgate for questions of MSM credibility about a host of other issues. And, it could open the floodgate for lawsuits by families of the victims of the \"9-11\" attacks.
So, I have decided to release a column that tells at least some of the story of what happened to Flight 93. We can never know the entire story, because the same Federal government that shot down the airliner also keeps the official records of all aviation mishaps. After the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) tapes of Flight 93 were publicly released, it was reported that the final minutes of the tape transcript were missing. Without those final minutes, we can never prove exactly what happened to a degree of certainty that will overcome all criticism. But, I believe that my research can provide a \"four corners\" examination that will satisfy most rational readers.

The game is over and we lost.
Many of us have beeen blogging, calling congressmen, writing letters to the editor, digging out MUCH convincing evidence that the Iraq invasion was preplanned, that our government lied about WMDs and on and on.
The only evidence we ever really needed was the towers fell too fast. They could only fall that fast is there was NO Supporting structiure. And there could only be NO supporting structure if explosives were used. And if explosives were used then they were place ahead of the aircraft crashes. And if that’s true the terrorist conspiracy theory is BULL SHIT, this is an inside job. Let’s face facts.
Couple that fact with the recent vote H.R. 282, Iran Freedom Support Act, http://www.informationclearinghouse.... Look at the list of 355 co-sponsors, including some of our so-called progressive representatives. We’re clearly on a path to bomb Iran at the very least and the Democrats are in on it.
We are left with essentially NO LEGAL means of changing the course of war we’ve been on. Accept it or leave cause the shit is going down. Imagine when to right wing citizens are faced with the fact that the war on terror is a sham. I told a right leaning acquaintance that the towers were brought down with explosives. He said I was cazy but I know he’s curious. If these people get the truth I don’t think they will take it so lightly.
I’m burning DVDs of Loose Change as fast as I can. I now have people putting in requests for multiple copies. I’m going to start leaving them in gas station bathrooms etc.
