The helicopter was seen falling towards the earth and then crashing completely. The fate of the crew was not immediately known.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a column of two US armored vehicles and two Humvees in the as-Sufiyah area east of ar-Ramadi on Sunday. Witnesses who live in the area told Mafkarat al-Islam that a group of about four Resistance fighters armed with light weapons and C5K pipe rockets attacked the US column, disabling one of the armored vehicles and killing four American troops and wounding three more.

Al-Baghdadi.

Resistance bombards US ‘Ayn al-Asad camp.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 120mm mortar rounds into the US ‘Ayn al-Asad base in al-Baghdadi, west of Baghdad on Sunday. A source in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” who asked not to be named told Mafkarat al-Islam that four of the shells blasted a US checkpoint at the entrance to the camp, killing six American troops and wounding four more, two of them seriously.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance shells US base east of al-Fallujah Sunday morning.

Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Fallujah fired fourteen 120mm mortar rounds into the US base to the east of the city at exactly 8am local time Sunday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in al-Fallujah reported a source with the rank of major in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guards” as saying that fourteen mortar rounds landed in the US base in the agricultural area east of al-Fallujah, destroying three military vehicles that were parked there and killing one American soldier and wounding one other. The correspondent reported that the US forces responded by shooting back, pounding the area around the Thermostone factory where they believed the Resistance fire originated, but the US bombardment caused no casualties either among the Resistance fighters or the civilian residents.

Fire rages through refugee camp on Jordanian-Iraqi border.

A three-year old Palestinian girl was killed and her sister, mother, and a number of other relatives seriously burned when a massive fire ripped through tents at the ar-Ruwayshid refugee camp on the Jordanian-Iraqi border.

Civil Defense sources said that the blaze burned nine Palestinian refugees’ tents in the camp, which is inhabited by Palestinians who had been living in Iraq but were forced to flee when American forces invaded the country more than two years ago.

The Qatari News Agency reported that the fire was caused by an electrical contact in the camp and that Jordanian Civil Defense agents extinguished it.

In addition to the Palestinians who constitute the majority in the camp, refugees from other Arab countries, as well as Kurds, and Iranians who had been living in Iraq before the American invasion make up the population of the facility, all of whom have been beleaguered there for more than two years.

Baghdad.

Resistance bomb kills five US troops Sunday morning.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded on the highway bridge near a crossroad on the way between Baghdad and Abu Ghurayb. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a first lieutenant in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” who was on the scene of the attack said that the bomb was planted under the girders on the bridge targeted a US Bradley armored vehicle, which it destroyed virtually completely, killing five US troops and wounding three more, one of them seriously.

The bomb went off at about 10:20am local time Sunday morning. The correspondent, who rushed to the scene of the attack, reported that after the blast, US troops arrested a number of cigarette vendors who were by the sides of the road leading to the bridge, charging them with involvement in the attack, covering up for the Resistance fighters and not informing the invaders that the Resistance had planted a bomb.

Resistance attack leaves three American, one Australian “archaeologists” dead.

Iraqi Resistance forces attacked two black “civilian” Chevrolet cars carrying American archaeological experts with Australian colleagues accompanied by another car owned by an American mercenary security company on Sunday morning, an officer in the puppet “Iraqi army” told Mafkarat al-Islam in Baghdad.

The officer told Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent that the Resistance fighters fired anti-tank rockets at two cars carrying one Australian and three American excavators for antiquities along with five American body guards. The attack completely destroyed the two cars, killing all aboard instantly.

The scene of the ambush was near the historic site Iwan Kasra (Chosroes’ Palace) where the foreigners were planning to stop.

Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that two BMWs carrying a number of Resistance fighters carried out the attack. The correspondent, who arrived on the scene of the attack within the hour, found that US forces were removing the bodies under cover of intense secrecy. A giant truck was brought in to remove the wrecked cars to a location in Baghdad.

Resistance bomb in at-Taji kills five US troops in at-Taji.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in at-Taji, north of Baghdad Sunday morning. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb went off by the American patrol as it made its way back from one of their night camps west of the city. The blast killed five US troops and seriously wounded one more.

For its part the Resistance organization Base Qa‘idah of the Jihad in the Land of the Two Rivers led by Jordanian Islamist Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi announced that it was responsible for the attack in a statement distributed in several mosques. The statement said that the bomb exploded at 8am local time Sunday morning and that it destroyed one US Humvee, inflicting death or injury on all aboard.

US television reports Iraqi group claims to have abducted Pakistani diplomat.

An Iraqi Resistance organization named for ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab claimed credit for the abduction of the Pakistani consul Malik Muhammad Jawad. The American CNN TV news station reported that the group announced that it had abducted the Pakistani representative Saturday evening, but CNN cautioned that it could not verify the story nor did it have any information about a group called ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab.

Iraqi puppet police announced that Jawad was last seen leaving a mosque in the al-‘Amiriyah area west of Baghdad at about 8pm Saturday, local time. His family reported his disappearance.

Resistance ambush leaves four Badr Brigade gunmen dead.

Four Shi‘i chauvinist collaborationist Badr Brigade gunmen were killed on Sunday when Resistance fighters attacked them in the southern Baghdad suburbs of ad-Durah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in ad-Durah reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the Resistance fighters armed with light machine guns attacked a car carrying Badr Brigade commanders at 8pm local time, killing four of them. The source said that the Resistance attackers left the scene of the ambush.

Witnesses told the correspondent that the Resistance fighters appeared to have sat and waited for the white Nissan sedan with the Badr Brigade collaborators aboard to pass the al-Bayya‘ - ad-Durah intersection, at which point they attacked. The correspondent was unable to ascertain the exact identity or position of the dead collaborators.

The Badr Brigades are the armed wing of the Shi‘i chauvinist so-called Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) which joined US troops in the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and since then have served as auxiliaries, helping the American occupation while inciting sectarian violence among the citizens in order to facilitate the US-Zionist plan to divide and rule.

Diyala Province. Ba‘qubah.

Resistance car bomber kills six US troops south of Ba‘qubah at noon Sunday.

An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter drove an explosives-laden white Supra car into a US column in the industrial zone south of Ba‘qubah at 12 noon local time Sunday. An officer in the Iraqi puppet army told Mafkarat al-Islam that the blast totally destroyed one American Humvee and disabled a second. The explosion left six US troops dead and five others wounded.

US vehicles surrounded the scene a full hour after the attack occurred, extracting and evacuating the dead and wounded to the US Kharnabat base in the city.

Babil Province. Al-Yusufiyah.

Four American troops killed in Resistance ambush on US supply column.

Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a column of US military trucks bringing supplies and equipment to the American occupation troops in the city of al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad . witnesses who own groves in the area told the al-Yusufiyah correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons such as RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked the US supply column on the highway heading towards the downtown Baghdad. The attack set two American trucks ablaze and killed four US troops.

Al-Latifiyah.

Four US troops killed in Sunday morning boming.

An Iraqi Resistance bomb that was planted in the middle of a road in al-Latifiyah, south of Baghdad, exploded under a column of several US vehicles, some of them armored Humvees and others without armor. The Sunday-morning blast totally destroyed one of the vehicles and killed four US troops.

The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that in addition to the four American troops who were killed, there was a fifth was wounded.

For its part, the Army of the Partisans of the Sunnah Prophet’s Practice announced its responsibility for the attack in a statement distributed around a number of local mosques, a copy of which was obtained by Mafkarat al-Islam.

Salah ad-Din Province. At-Tarimiyah.

Resistance bomb kills three US troops midday Sunday.

An Iraqi Resistance roadside bomb exploded by a US patrol in the at-Tarimiyah area north of Baghdad at 1pm Baghdad time. The bomb was planted by the side of the main road in the city and exploded as a column of four Humvees was passing. The blast destroyed one Humvee and killed three US troops and wounded two more, one of them critically, according to a source in the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard.”

Samarra’.

Mafkarat al-Islam journalist, killed by US fire in Samarra’, given top journalism awards posthumously by Iraqi Journalists Union.

The Iraqi Journalists Union in the city of Samarra’ held a ceremony to award Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent Khalid ‘Abd al-Jabbar the Best Journalist Award for his coverage of the fighting in Samarra’. Khalid ‘Abd al-Jabbar gave his life covering the battles there.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Samarra’ reported that the ceremony was attended by the doyen of Iraqi journalists, Muhammad ad-Dulaymi, his first deputy Ahmad as-Samarra’i, his second deputy Bashir Fadil al-Badrani, the Chairman of the Samarra’ branch of the journalists union Muhammad al-Badrani, and a large number of Iraqi correspondents and writers who worked with the martyr Khalid ‘Abd al-Jabbar. Also in attendance were other journalists from Mafkarat al-Islam in Baghdad, Samarra’, Tikrit, al-Latifiyah, and ar-Ramadi.

The doyen of Iraqi journalists in Samarra’ spoke at the event, praising the martyr reporter and presenting his father and his daughter Rim with two prizes. The first was the prise for the best journalist of 2004 for his outstanding coverage of the events in Samarra’, and the second, the Iraqi Journalists’ Shield for coming in first for accuracy of reporting in the year 2004. The martyr Khalid ‘Abd al-Jabbar published over 1,220 reports during 2004, only five of which were refuted. The award was presented to the martyr’s father, Shaykh ‘Abd al-Jabbar Muhammad.

The decision on the recipient of the journalist awards for 2004 was taken on the basis of the results of a poll of 101 Iraqi journalists, representing an even larger number of writers, press agencies, Arab and international satellite TV networks. Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent wrote of the pride that Mafkarat al-Islam takes in the fact that this top Iraqi journalist award went to their co-worker Khalid. At the same time, Mafkarat al-Islam pledges to follow Khalid’s example of conveying the truth no matter how difficult that might be.

Mafkarat al-Islam also took the opportunity to announce that it had obtained an official license and was now in the final stages of preparations, begun eight months ago, to launch their own satellite TV news network.

Mafkarat al-Islam extended its thanks to Muhammad ad-Dulaymi, Ahmad as-Samarra’i, and Bashir al-Badrani, for their efforts in the service of Iraqi journalism and their advice and guidance for which it is indebted. Mafkarat al-Islam commented that history would record that their firm stances had placed them at the head of honest journalism - something that is rarer now than ever before.

Ninwa Province. Mosul.

Three US troops killed in car bombing in Mosul Sunday afternoon.

An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded next to a US column in the al-Yarmuk neighborhood in the north of Mosul. Residents of the neighborhood who witnessed the bombing told the Mosul correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam that an Opel stationwagon that was parked by the side of the road exploded as a column of four American armored vehicles and four Humvees was passing at 2pm local time Sunday afternoon.

The blast destroyed one armored vehicle and killed three US troops and seriously injured another four more. After the attack, US forces encircled the area and prevented journalists from approaching.

High ranking sources in an-Najaf Province in southern Iraq have disclosed that the body of the an-Najaf puppet police chief, Salim al-Jaza’iri, has been found in an ara far from the center of the city. Al-Jaza’iri was abducted on Friday by the Resistance organization Base Qa‘idah of the Jihad in the Land of the Two Rivers which is led by Jordanian Islamist Abu Mus‘ab az-Zarqawi.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in an-Najaf reported sources in the puppet police as saying that they are holding an investigation to verify that the chief was indeed killed by having his throat slit in a western neighborhood of the city.

Let me guess, we’ll here how the numbers of dead are actually going down from fox news.

"I know last week it was 1500, but it’s amazing, this week it’s 1499, you would never think it, but the number of dead is actually getting smaller, hip-hip hooray"-Sean Hannity

I think you’ll probably find the truth somewhere between the resistance reports and American claims. Unfortunately it is highly unlikely that either is telling us the full story. But the permanent US claims that "One man was killed and another injured today......... etc, etc" really do look a bit weird if you think about it. Bombs aren’t usually that discriminating.

I do find it a bit odd that every day there are 2 killed and 2 wounded. The numbersdon’tchange. Does anyone believe that this administration, who has lied about EVERYTHING would tell the truth about the number of our soldiers dead....FAT CHANCE!!!

The relation between those who get killed and those who are killing is in favour of the U.S. Nazi troops.
Of course the majority of American is thinking they are the only mourners.

At least there’s concern over how many hired killers are getting battered. Shame the Iraqi freedom fighters casualties aren’t ’worth counting’.

Every "patriotic" murderer for hire should hurry on over there and dodge some bullets for Bush. There are too many people on this planet, overpopulation is a big problem not being addressed. The military is definitely a good place to help reduce the gene pool and eliminate some "stupid" genes. 30 is a good number, now if we could just keep up that pace everyday, the whole thing just might have a few positive aspects after all.

If there is one universal question that haunts all human beings at some point in their lives, it is, “Why do we die?” Death, after all, is the great illogic. It ultimately claims all, the rich and the poor, the mighty and the small, the good and the evil. Death also has the capability to make most human pursuits—such as the quest for wealth, fame and power—vacuous and fleeting. Given this reality, I have often wondered why so many people are still willing to (...)
