Attack-Terrorism Governments USA Mary MacElveen

By Mary MacElveen

As we come up on the fifth anniversary of September 11, 2001 which was by all means a day that lived in infamy that took the lives of three thousand innocent people, Bush promised us all that he would capture Osama bin Laden, “Dead or alive” As the days wore on with no accountability by this administration and a complicit media that forgot those three words, his (Bush’s) message morphed into, “I do not know where he is, he is not important and is not our priority” Well excuse me you sorry and pathetic excuse of a president his capture is still important to the American people especially the victim’s families.

Well the psychology of his capture not being important most certainly worked. As I campaigned for John F. Kerry, I met up with one person that bought into this new way of thinking who actually stated to me, “Capturing Osama bin Laden is not important” Well, I was absolutely dumb founded as I heard those words coming from a man that lives on Long Island which is just a hop, skip and a jump from Ground Zero. Did he not remember those Twin Towers as they fell to the ground? Living in close proximity to New York City, I most certainly did as those towers came down and the school that my children attended at that time went into lock down.

Some will say in response to this editorial that other forces were at work that day, but you know what? If we are going to confront the ineptitude of this Bush administration, then let us fight them on what has been reported to the American people by their own inept government and a complicit media. It is called fighting them on their own terms.

With ABC set to air their show, “The Path to 9/11” it has been reported that they will lay the blame of that horrific day at the door step of President Bill Clinton and to that I add: September 11th, 2001 happened on George W. Bush’s watch. It is that plain and that simple. Of course the simpleton president was given many warnings and even dismissed the Hart/Rudman commission report on national security, but the government and the media continued at that time excused his bad behavior and as a result 3,000 innocent people died.

To this day, both the GOP led government and the media still excuse his bad behavior. Even Katrina taught us that both groups excused Bush’s lack of response time to that disaster. Is nothing Bush’s fault?

Bush even side tracked this country by laying the blame of 9/11 at Saddam Hussein’s feet. Again, please excuse me, you sorry excuse of an American president. Saddam had nothing to do with those attacks that befell us all. How many times must we say that? Yes, Hussein was captured, yet we still hear from Osama from time to time, unless it really isn’t Osama. I say the latter since I believe that it only serves as a reminder to keep us in a constant state of fear and complicity.

Every time that I see a new tape released coming from bin Laden, it just reminds me of the incompetence of Bush. If they the media think that it makes me afraid, it only serves as my great umbrage that is directed at this administration. While there is nothing funny about bin Laden, any time that I do hear those tapes, I must say that I do laugh at this moronic administration that cannot seem to capture one man.

To the American people, oh please take off those blind folds. Stop acting like ostriches (no offense to that wonderful bird) and please see what Bush is doing to you. He wants to keep you in this state so that you will continually support his lies.

Getting back to how Osama bin Laden’s capture is not important as stated by Bush; imagine if Chief Moose said that to his constituents as the D.C. snipers continued on their bloody rampage? Let us be honest for once in our lives, they would have demanded his immediate removal from office. Well the same thing must be said of Bush. But, to Chief Moose’s credit, he caught his terrorists. Hey, here is a neat fact for you, both of those D.C. terrorists were tried and yes convicted. So, why on Earth can’t Bush find Osama bin Laden?

Bush will state that we will win the war on terror, but excuse me, just how are we winning when Iraq has turned into complete chaos and in all accounts has become a civil war? How are we winning when it was reported last year when al Qaeda seized a town in Iraq called Qaim? They even burnt a woman and stated that she was a prostitute. Good going Bush.

Bush will again try and side track us all by stating that Iran is our problem and the source of terrorism. No, Bush, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad did not attack us on September 11th.

He (Bush) will even try and lay the blame of all of our woes on North Korea as they test fired those rockets on July 4th. Again, North Korea did not attack us on September 11th.

He (Bush) has tried to tell us that Hezbollah is the group we should all worry about. No, Bush the group that most Americans are worried about is al Qaeda and their leader Osama bin Laden. If they are not worried, then those Americans that are not need a lobotomy.

As Bush has been fighting his war on ‘terra’ let me remind my readers that within this time, Russia has gone on to rebuild the arms race through the production of Topol M missiles. In a previous article written for VHeadline.com, this is what I reported of these destructive missiles, “the Russian army activated a new fleet of Topol-M missiles that can fit a nuclear warhead and travel 6,000 miles, changing trajectory to foil any enemy interception device. " I also reported of these missiles, “officials made clear could penetrate US anti- missile defenses." Is this President Clinton’s fault too? No, the ineptitude, incompetence and the sheer stupidity of the Bush administration did that. Should we start building bomb shelters again and having our children diving under their desks as ‘baby boomers’ such as me did during the Cold War?

In Bush’s successful (?) war on terror, let me remind all that it was reported that al Qaeda bombed London, Madrid, Spain and Bali Indonesia. They just keep popping up all over the world as we fight the war in Iraq only to seize their oil. If you do not believe me that this war in Iraq is all about oil, then I invite all of you to read, Iraq Carve up begins. This article which was originally published by the London Line on June 26, 2005, stated, “Executives from BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil and Halliburton, Dick Cheney’s old firm, are expected to congregate at the Paddington Hilton for a two-day chinwag with top-level officials from Iraq’s oil ministry. The gathering, sponsored by the British Government, is being described as the "premier event" for those with designs on Iraqi oil, and will go ahead despite opposition from Iraqi oil workers, who fear their livelihoods are being flogged to foreigners. The Met will be on hand to secure the venue ahead of the conference.” So, please Bush, do not dare tell us that the war in Iraq is about fighting any alleged war on terror. That equally applies to the U.S. congress as well as the complicit media.

All in all and to finish up this piece, is the failure at capturing Osama bin Laden President Clinton’s fault too? To the American people the blame must be laid at Bush’s feet and his alone as we come up on the fifth anniversary of September 11th, 2001. His capture is still very important to most that I speak with and it should be with you.
