Bush Assassination Film is just fictional as was ‘The Path to 9/11’

At this point, I challenge any station to air the movie that depicts the assassination of George W. Bush. This movie is a piece of fiction as was the ‘Path to 9/11’ But, knowing our corporate controlled media, they will not because they are ‘gun shy’ since the conservative base within this country will have a field day trying to shut down the airing of this movie. I know that was a bad pun to use, but one that is applicable in this case. This conservative base was effective in telling CBS not to air the Reagan mini-series and CBS cowered and only aired it on their cable station, Show Time.

In describing this film Reuters reports, “The film is shot as if it were a conventional television documentary, even though the events are fictional.” The same description should have been used in writing of ‘The Path to 9/11’ Well, that docu-fantasy has worked as I just read a letter to the editor in today’s Newsday in which someone writes, “The liberals never cease to amaze me. The release of a 9/11 miniseries by ABC has the liberals up in arms because it exposes how poorly President Bill Clinton handled Osama bin Laden in the 1990s” The letter writer then goes on to say, “Maybe if Bubba had done his job in the White House, 9/11 never would have happened.” This proves “A lie told often enough becomes the truth”

Another letter to Newsday’s editor was one that rocked me, “What a breath of fresh air to finally see and hear about the eight years leading up to 9/11, as opposed to eight months of the Bush administration. Judging by the reaction of Slick Willie and Clintonistas everywhere to "The Path to 9/11," there figures to be more truth than fiction in this ABC two-part miniseries. It’s about time.” Do you see now how ABC’s docu-fantasy has done its intended job? The masses are indeed being force fed lies and they believe them.

One of the main problems that I do have with this Bush assassination movie is reported in that Reuters article, “A police hunt leads to the arrest of a Palestinian man on flimsy evidence. Later the man is convicted of the assassination and kept in prison even as evidence points to another person as having committed the crime.” This pure work of fiction will foster pure hatred towards the Palestinians. This is where I believe these works of fiction do more harm than good. But, hey I dare any station in the United States to air it. I bet you that most corporate executives are shaking in their boots thinking of the backlash that will hit them should they decide to air this film.

The two productions above are fantasy plain and simple, and it makes me wonder why such ire is not being raised towards factual statements made by many within the political arena today.

I have seen the many alerts being put out telling all of us to write and call our senators not to confirm John Bolton. He was appointed our ambassador to the United Nations in a recess appointment by Bush. Now this is what he had to say of that body that he is presently working in, “If [the UN Secretariat building] lost 10 stories, it wouldn’t make a bit of difference." To our conservative brethren here in the United States, if you are against terrorism, then you must speak out against this terrorist opinion made by John Bolton. Nah, they most likely clapped as he stated that.

Now we get to Pat Robertson when he threatened the life of the Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez using our airwaves in doing so. Where was the outrage when he stated, “You know, I don’t know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war.” Some will say that the Bush assassination movie will promote the idea of killing Bush; the same can be said of Robertson’s idea to take President Chavez out.

John Dean (author of Conservatives without a Conscience) even wrote in a Find Law column, “This is found in Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 112(b), which states: "Whoever willfully — (1) ... threatens ... a foreign official ..., [or] (2) attempts to... threaten ... a foreign official ... shall be fined under this titled or imprisoned not more than six months, or both." So, while Robertson later apologized for making that on-air threat, he did break the law and is not being held accountable.

John Dean also wrote, “Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 875(c), states: "Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both." (Emphases added.)” So, has he (Robertson) been fined or jailed for using our public airwaves to threaten the life of President Hugo Chavez? Nah, he got away Scott-free.

Last but not least is our ‘godless’ whack job, Ann Coulter who some see as a political pundit. When I say some, I mean our conservative brethren. When some fear that the Bush assassination will give some folks the idea to actually carry this out, oh the same can be said of many of Coulter’s insane quotes. The first one clearly will give some nut-job an idea when she stated in an interview with the New York Observer, “my only regret with [Oklahoma City bomber] Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building." As I was listening to my local news yesterday a group of law enforcement posing as apple farmers were able to purchase large amounts of ammonium nitetrate. What is to stop some crazy person with a mission to blow up the New York Times building?

You know I am all for free speech, but this one can insight violence against liberals, “I think a baseball bat is the most effective way [to talk to liberals] these days." Is that akin to shouting fire in a crowded auditorium which is not protected by free speech? You be the judge.

When Coulter stated of US Supreme Court Justice, John Paul Stevens, “We need somebody to put rat poisoning in Justice Stevens’ creme brulee," She then said, "That’s just a joke, for you in the media." While it may have been intended as a joke by her to the media, again, there is no accountability coming from her. Not that I would really expect it since she has gone after a group of widows that lost loved ones on September 11th, in her book, “Godless-The Church of Liberalism” in which she called them “witches”.

So, as the media refuses to hold folks like Coulter, Robertson and yes, John Bolton accountable, I again challenge the media to air the Bush assassination film. Hey, it is only fiction just like ‘The Path to 9/11’ was.

  • A note for Ms. MacElveen: Ann Coulter is only an idol for intellectually challenged American lobotomites who believe they are Conservatives but who in reality are closet racists and Fascists. For the Love of Christ let’s not confuse these poorly educated hypocrites with real Conservatives.
Read the American Conservative, go to the Cato Institute’s web page. These two organizations have writers that can actually put sentences together, who know their history, who do have a moral code and abide by it. Ann Coulter is a hack and a shyster who makes millions off the irrational dribble she spews out to her adoring and clueless Redneck hordes. She is very much like her Repukable leaders who are ruining our country: she too is a false Conservative who speaks from both sides of her mouth & derives her livelihood by spouting lies and non-sequitirs. She is also a false Conservative who apparently thinks, like the demented President she worships, that our Constitution is ’a goddamned piece of paper’. A real Conservative understands that such concepts like the Rule of Law and habeaus corpus are at the core of our democracy. When I think of a real American Conservative I think of men like Barry Goldwater and Ron Paul. Comparing Ann Coulter to these fine men not only dishonors them but also displays a great ignorance on your part about what the Conservative movement really means. The Republican party only mouths Conservative platitudes to its slavish constituency, but through their actions they show the outside world, a world uncorrupted by the American Propaganda Machine, that they have long abandoned the Conservative values they hypocritically still pay lip service to, if indeed they believed in those values at all.
