Attack-Terrorism USA

Murder, Frame-up Shut 7-yr Old Anthrax Case?

In the waning months of the Bush regime, the untimely death of civilian microbiologist Dr. Bruce Ivins, a 36-year career scientist for the US military, is surely ’convenient’ closure for the administration to the case of the ’unsolved’ bioterror attacks of 2001. There will be no charges and no public trial. Much too convenient.

Consider the offhand manner in which Ivins has been essentially posthumously convicted in the media without so much as waiting for an autopsy report ; incongruously and without explanation labeling a man who for years volunteered as a musician at his weekly church services as ’homicidal’. …Who ‘committed suicide‘ in hospital following his involuntary commitment !

Or the conspicuous lack of charges against a colleague of Ivins’ at Fort Detrick in Maryland, Lt. Col. Philip Zack, reported in mainstream press (Hartford Courant, Seattle Times) to have been caught on security cameras trespassing after hours at the labs— at a time when specimens had gone missing (http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=20020121&slug=anthrax21)
— and following his departure for racially motivated harassment of an Arab colleague, Dr. Ayaad Assaad. (http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=20011219&slug=detrick19). Just days before the bioterror attack, Assad was named in an anonymous letter to police as a ’potential bioterrorist’, and then cleared. The Bureau admitted it did not track the author of the letter ! (see 2nd article cited ).

Most glaringly (Duh!) , the targets of the attack—the leadership of the opposition party and media !! —signal less a randomly ’homicidal’ scientist than a wholly political motive for the crime: 1) an attempt to silence the opposition and stifle by terror, any challenge after the crime of the 9/11 attacks and 2) justify a new upcoming invasion (of Iraq).

Of course the anthrax attacks had no connection whatsoever to ’Arab terrorists’, but a demonstrated and recognized connection to the US military, commanded by the civilian Executive. As such these attacks were the smoking gun of the 2001 terror crimes—providing evidence pointing to the administration itself, as well as a motive linking the two sets of terror attacks; a trail that, if investigated, could only lead to charges of high treason.

As the key to the high crimes of 2001, the anthrax attacks could never have been the object of an honest investigation and public trial overseen by this administration, who according to motive and evidence ought to be the prime suspect. The administration’s ongoing obstruction of justice, in this and other cases, only adds further evidence of its guilt…Only an international investigation, under the auspices of the UN for example, would have any hope of achieving an impartial investigation, trial and prosecution of probable state terror crimes of 2001 in the USA.
