On April 29, I posted this report at BellaCiao:

The April 29 report describes the cancellation of a speech, scheduled for May 2 at the University of Oklahoma, to be given by CIA agent Michael Scheuer. In OU’s promotional announcement about the speech, Scheuer was described as "the long-time chief of the Bin Laden tracking center."

After I started encouraging OU students to ask Scheuer why the CIA did not capture Bin Laden in July 2001 when, according to LeFigaro, they saw him at the American hospital in Dubai, OU cancelled the speech. Their announcement said the cancellation was “due to adverse circumstances.”

Google news linked to my report on the day afterward. The link is still there today.

Yesterday, the OU student newspaper announced that Scheuer’s visit has been “rescheduled” for May 2. OU representative Madison Blocker said the event had been cancelled earlier “due to scheduling difficulties” and “it was basically a miscommunication.”

Former U.S. Senator David Boren, widely known as the mentor and sponsor of ex-CIA boss George Tenet, is the president of OU. Boren has close ties to the CIA.
