An Open Letter To The Congress of the United States of America:

Elections-Elected USA

Dear Congressperson,

There is massive mis-trust of the equipment and tactics used in the election on November 2nd, 2004, and in the electoral primaries.

The glue that holds this country together is the right to vote and have it be counted. That glue is being severely tested by an earthquake of massive proportions because results generated in a computer can not be trusted. It is time for in-depth investigation of exactly what occurred, and absolutely un-violable methods and procedures to be established for our electoral process.

These are your defining days in office. This is beyond anything partisan. If this election had been conducted in a fair and completely secure manner, people would have moved on, but it has not been conducted in such a manner.

Unless the vote is absolutely secure, standardized, accessible to voters and candidates, there is no democracy in the United States of America.

It is long past time for half measures and gestures. The very coherence of this nation now lies squarely in your hands. Will you make it strong and wonderful, or will you tear it to pieces?

You have the ability to make this country what it is supposed to be, here and now. You have the chance to be a great patriot or a perpetrator of injustice against this nation and it’s people.

It is time you made that choice. Investigate the 2004 elections, primary and general, and make our voting process and democracy the envy of every person alive in this world.

Choose what you will be to this nation. Look deep into your heart, and choose.

Sincerely,

A Citizen of the United States of America.

    Regarding electronic machines:

When I heard the a judge had ruled that a paper trail was not necessary, I knew we were in trouble.

The irony is, any ATM that is used, even in the most questionable places, will never NOT RECORD the transaction you have made, immediately. You’re given a numbered receipt that tells you what you’ve just entered, in case there is a problem!
