Edito Music Wars and conflicts

de John Lennon

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

  • This dude sounds like somebody the CIA needs to take out. Maybe they will send a Manchurian Candidate to shoot him in front of his apartment building and then make it look like it was a "deranged fan"

    • After 9/11 certain songs were prohibited from being played on the radio stations nationwide, and "Imagine" was one of those songs on the list, along with some Stevie Wonder songs about peace, and then there was Cat Stevens. This country as weak as it is can not withstand any peaceful ideas, that is why Cat Stevens was denied entry into the US...the very idea of peace if the biggest threat this country faces. Where would our economy be, where would our egos be? What would happen if peace broke out? The very word has Washington shaking in its shoes.

  • "Imagine" gets the all-time award for mindless dreck, hands down, bar none. You really do have to wonder if Lennon ever read so much as a newspaper. "Imagine there’s (sic) no countries." Fine, but please also imagine the kinds of people that rush to fill political vacuums like that. Ugly. uglier, ugliest.

Somebody page Thos. Hobbes, we need a refresher on the War of All Against All, where the life of man is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short. RIP, John; you were a political moron to the very end.

    • There may come a time when patriotism will be seen in the same light as racism

    • Byron, if you can read "Imagine" and conclude what you have, you are the ugliest of the ugly.

    • May you and all like you be left out in the cold!

    • Imagine there’s no hunger or want or care,

      We’ll pass laws governing what you can eat and think and wear;

No tendency to be lazy , to cheat or to distrust,

Imagine no emotions like envy or jealousy or lust-

We’ll fill you up with drugs or threaten you with pain

Just to make sure you don’t complain.

You’ll say I’m a liar, but I’m not the only one,

When you’ve made your first billion please join us,

And the world will be won.
