Artists Against Wars

Giuliana Sgrena

The italian net of Artists against wars appeals to the kidnappers in order to release our friend Giuliana Sgrena.

It’s not Giuliana the enemy and not even the other reporters of the free press who talk sincerely in favour of the Iraki people and finally not even the volunteers of the NGO’s.

The net of Artists appeals to the Italian government and asks for the withdrawal of the Italian soldiers, like other contries have done before.

Democracy cannot be brought with weapons to the peoples of the world.

We want to express our solidarity to the reporters of "Il Manifesto", who are waiting for news about their friend.

We are closed to the relatives of Giuliana and we express our solidarity to all persons who are suffering for this blackmail.

The net of Artists is for the dialogue as an instrument of peace with the other cultures and through a common engagement to build a fair society for all people.
