Europe France

hello! i wanted to show you this calling:

 http://www.appel-constituante.org/a...

We, citizens of Europe, deem that : Till now, European construction, has avoid people. Human rights, being subjected to economic interests, are mocked in their conception and enforcement.

This is especially true with the Treaty Establishing a Constitution for Europe, from the way in which it was elaborated and the economic primacy over human factor that it ratifies. Consequently, we, citizens, men and women, deny any legitimacy to this text, and refute it.

Moreover, we consider that a Constitution must be the outcome of a real democratic process that defines the fundamental principles which govern life in a European community. It also must endow us with legislative, executive and legal institutions, coming directly from people and controlled by them.

Whatever the issue of the ratification process, it’s essential to engage a collective reflection about conditions for a dignified life that emancipates everyone, men and women.

It looks especially needful to discuss these following non-exhaustive rights : The right to make over one’s body, one’s conscience and one’s life. The right to healthy food. The right to a salubrious home. The right to health and to welfare system. The right to access freely to knowledge, throughout ones life. The right to work and to a free job choice. The right to free expression, free communication, to meet and circulate freely. The right to live in a war-free world which needs the abolition of all kind of economic and military enslavement. The right to a healthy environment the maintenance of its biodiversity, implying the duty to change our ways of production and consumption.

As well as the duty to guarantee collective social and moral material conditions and to an equal application of these rights.

We call everyone, men and women, to sign, relay and spread this call. Let’s mobilise in order to organize discussions locally and to collect grievances and complaints. Let’s coordinate in order to prepare a Constituent Assembly which : will write and edit our constitution, relating aims and complaints issued during think sessions. will be composed with members specially chosen through a poll for this mission and repealed when it’s over.

  • The ratification process of the EU constitution just shows how little democracy there is in Europe and how far these countries have to go to really be a union. As for the french no, this has to be one of the most selfish acts in history that might actually be of benefit for the majority. Either way, the US now has to deal with Chirac, Schroeder, Blair, Berlusconi, the four largest countries with lame duck governing parties. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Chirac and Schroeder blame everyone but themselves for their own weakness, in the meantime the conditions are ripe for another Hitler type to take over in Europe. If another war happens in Europe, Bush better sit that one out and let those euros take care of it themselves.
