Governments USA Peter Fredson

Step by Step, Inch by Inch.

By Peter Fredson

December 6, 2005

The incompetence and misdeeds of the Bush administration are slowly being revealed with horrifying details of torture, abuse, misinformation, slander, CIA jails, indefinite detentions, incompetence, reckless adventuring, lobbing cruise missiles, fake reporters, fake news, habitual lying, patting themselves on the back, excoriating, slandering and punishing critics.

Their Machiavellian plans for World Conquest, the Downing Street Memos, attempts to destroy Al Jazeera News offices, Secret Gulags, Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo appalling treatment, the Ashcroft assault on civil rights, the Katrina incompetence and carefree disregard of poor and black victims, the arrogant swagger and strut, the incessant fake scripted photo-ops, sending American troops to die for oil, bases and a huge embassy from which to threaten or invade sovereign countries, sending Condi to lecture on freedom and democracy while her boss is busy destroying, killing, and doing nation building.

There are hundreds of ill-tempered, vicious, and destructive instances of Bush arrogance, petulance, irritability, and ruination of diplomatic relations by egomaniacal desire to stay his failed course. Slowly, inch by inch, step by step, details of mismanagement, of manufactured terror, of rabid assaults on religious freedom, of prevarication, are being released.

As far as domestic problems are concerned we have accumulated the greatest deficit in world history, the greatest trade imbalance, the greatest loss of industrial capacity due to exporting industries to countries where Bush corporations can have slave labor.

Bush has an absolute disregard for environmental concerns but shows a surprising delight in achieving the greatest profits possible for his corporate cronies. His plan to dissolve government in favor of privatizing all resources for the greater profit of his cronies shows a magnificent disregard of all laws and constitutional wisdom.

It looks like a conspiracy toward a semi-fascist theocracy is slowly building to replace our democracy.

Bush’s great regard for his philosopher friend, Jesus, is resulting in enough friction to start a civil war by religious crusading and imposition of his beliefs upon the entire nation. His faith-based program by executive privilege was the worst idea in the spiritual history of this nation.

He and his fundamentalist minions, like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, love the killing of Muslims. Bush and friends never openly admit that they started some of the terror when they were great and good friends of Saddam Hussein and sold him weapons of mass destruction. They seem unable to comprehend that Muslims resent their death and destruction strategy, and will give their lives to get the American invader out of Iraq.

The Bush warmongering was never subtle but was like a jackhammer on the daily news when the entire Bush cabinet swore that Saddam was going to spread mushroom clouds, poison gas, and bacteria on the U.S. from pilotless planes. They rattled sabers, danced their war dance, and had a great time manufacturing misinformation, lies and terror to ensure that their program of world domination would begin in the invasion of Iraq.

They accumulated the greatest cash contributions in our history, suborned many media and many politicians with the lure of cash, absolutely committed votes and support, and let it be known that God approved every action.

All the damage to our prestige, our honor, our values, our freedom and democracy were caused bit by bit, step by deliberate step. Our poor and homeless, our blacks and Mexicans were allowed to slowly sink farther into poverty and to become wage slaves, with no guarantee of social security, insurance, medical care, no regard for their education or safety.

Regulations to ensure safety for workers were deliberately lowered, as were the regulations protecting the environment. The Bush pranksters delighted in finding that words, not deeds, were sufficient to ensure SAFE WATER and SAFE AIR as much cheaper than cleaning up anything.

The Bush people soon found that they controlled all investigations of corruption, incompetence, or malfeasance. The Republican Senate was very quick to defend any action of the chief executive, and were very generous in praise or adulation of his lies, carefree assault on civil rights, and even of torture and abuse.

The control of Senate investigations was manifest in the latest outrage when a Senate Chairman’s investigating abuse of Energy Executives did not think it necessary to conduct sworn testimony, much like the first investigation of tobacco executives where every single soul swore on their honor that they did not know that nicotine was addictive.

While Bush repeats that he wants to know if there is any corruption or incompetence his actions give the lie to his public statements. His offer to investigate himself, with his Republican sycophants, has resulted in a corrupt nation immune from whistle blowers.

Bush showed his grim determination to stop corporate crime by jailing Martha Steward, but somehow Ken Lay is walking about without hindrance, and corporations like Millennium, cesspools of corruption, are not bothered. If a billion dollars is missing, that’s a mystery that will not be solved by Bush.

Bush might have helped save some of his “honor” if he had told a critic what great moral value was involved in his decision to invade Iraq, kill thousands of innocent civilians by Shock and Awe, destroy the Iraqi infrastructure, and give them sovereignty by appointing their government and saddling them with 100 regulations which would absolve him and his troops and his corporations from ever being judged for war and other crimes.

We strongly suspect there was no moral value, but an egomaniacal sociopath desire for power and glory, for domination, for a real crusade to delight his fundamentalists who wish to proselytize Muslims, or kill them.

At any rate, slowly and painfully some of the truth is leaking out of the quagmire of deception, lies, and lust for power. Step by step, inch by inch, the public is becoming aware that Presidents and political parties lie, cheat, steal, and make every effort to cover with dirt any traces of their shame, disgrace, corruption, and evil deeds.

Meanwhile a great deal of damage has been caused to our nation, to our values, to civil rights, and now by partisan judges who wish to impose Bible quotations on legislation, despite protestations of a President that there is no litmus test.

We now know that his word is worthless, that he is conducting a sort of Hollywood show, with spotlights, patting little black children on the cute heads, in front of cathedrals, waving flags and crosses, and high-stepping to make people think he is a courageous and competent leader instead of a cowardly war hawk that seems to have gone AWOL in favor of becoming a business executive. Both Bush and Condi said that there was no torture, no abuse, no surreptitious flights, no CIA jail, no gulag, no violations of any kind. I guess somebody else must have done that...perhaps some evil Democrat?

We should not have expected any pity or compassion from Bush. Leo Strauss said that pity or compassion is the mark of losers. Bush and his cabal also seem to believe that they are the Gold People of Plato, destined to be elite leaders, to whom allegiance and service are owed by reason of their eliteness.

The other day our troops killed an Iraqi woman, destroyed her house, but showed their compassion by giving her weeping and terrified orphan child a chocolate bar. Greater love hath no Bushite.

  • Yes, well, if this is what you are recognizing in 2005 then I would say Dubya and Co. have nothing to worry about.

Most Americans are still ignorant of the world, about their leaders and the wickedness the average American provide in the world. Only but a handful may seem aware of a few of the decay that is America and American society.

Thit decay is not localized to the leadership — it is top-down and bottom-up. You belame the leadership, but certainly, the decayed essence is approved by the American — if not outright, then certainly thought his or her willful or unwitting ignorance.

All of the opposition to the leadership seems to be somewhat good at is to catalogue various misdeeds of Dubya and Co. It can never seem to go beyond that.. Supremely ineffectual.

    • I absolutely agree with the above post. Can one leader and a few of his cronies succeed without the support of the people? Americans elected Bush in 2004 after he had made his agenda clear. This is not a case of incompetent leadership. The leader is doing exactly what the majority of the American people support.

We have become a fat, lazy, greedy, and narcisstic society. We cannot move our pathetic fat butts from the Lazy Boy in front of the TV long enough to support ourselves, so we must milk the life from third world countries, steal their labor, their resources and turn them into our slaves. We don’t care if our lands are barren and spoiled just as long as the TV keeps blaring.

At the same time, we continue to discriminate and persecute those whose appearance or behavior differs from our Biblical view of perfection. The black cloud and acid rain has hindered our view of reality. Our delusion of Biblical perfection is actually a ring of child-molesting priests waving a list of whistle blowers to assasinate.

Was Hitler solely responsible for the actions of the German people? There is no way he could have accomplished his destruction alone. Was Sadaam solely responsible for the actions of the Iraqi people? There is no way we can hold Bush solely responsible for the irreprehensible actions of our country today.

As long as the decent remain silent and cowardous, the wicked will continue to prevail.

    • So it’s the SHeeple once again, eh? baa baa, you are all so right! May truth continue to rise like the phoenix, and may we live to see the keepers of the gate fall into the big ditch they’ve created. I’m impressed, inch by inch, step by step. The NWO is taking a long time if ever to finally exist. They may be able to control the minds of many some and oftentimes, but they can’t control all minds all the time.

  • Yea, I agree partially with you. I’m not making excuses, but the dumbing down of americans has been going on for a long time. A news media that is totally controlled by the zionist and the elite who really run this country. Voting has become no more than a placebo to the public to make them feel like they still have a voice if they ever did. GO NEW WORLD ORDER. Interesting that in D.C. are founding fathers made the streets to form a pentagram with the bottom tip at the White House in satanism the bottom tip is also the house of Satan. hehehehehhehehhehheh
