> How Dick Cheney Got Away With $35 Million Right Before the Govt Launched a Probe into Halliburton

Jason,
What an absolute delight to stumble upon your article which basically proves with facts, names annd dates, what I have been telling people based on my own "connecting the dots" logic. If Cheney was a good CEO then he KNEW and probably CREATED the schema for Haliburton frauds then (and its ongoing rape of us American taxpayers in Iraq) OR was SO incompetent that he did not know his company was so corrupt.
I actually feel he is BOTH, a corrupt CEO who is also too incompetent (where US interests are concerned) to entrust the spare keys to the White House with.
Double shame on the US media conglomerates that are either siding with Bush-Cheney, or overlooking this obvious abuse of power in this White House.
As I always ask, imagine a country with nuclear weapons ruled by a former drunk, dimwit, war-evader who gives government contracts to his VP, gets money from corrupt energy sellers, gets TV shows off the air for criticizing him, almost blocks the release of a film critical of him, arranges for his justice department to ignore crimes in his government and to trample inalienable rights of his own people to free assembly, then lies to the whole world, and starts a "pre-emptive" war against a much smaller country - because voices of God tell him he is doing God’s work......
Scared? Be Doubly scared that that country is ours....after one term of this President. Imagine, shudder and imagine, a second term.
Here I thought we were trying to make Iraq more like America. Instead, are we turning our great nation into Amiraqa? And, you can quote me on that.
Lastly, thank you for being the latest occasional example of bold and brillliant journalism which makes me proud to be a writer, journalist and American.
