I still haven’t figured out how or why 250 men managed such close proximity to the battle event(s) in question ... O’Neil, for one, didn’t serve concurrently with Kerry (same boat, different time). How he could have bore witness is beyond me. Any social and cognitive psychologist with expertise on the fallibility of memory could write a nice paper on the extraordinary absurdities surrounding this political and social farce. It’ll certainly make prime material for introductory texts on social / political psychology and cognition.
The White House dismissal of Barne’s asserations because of his being a Democrat is ludicrous (does being Republican disqualify their assertions?); as if the Swift Boat vets didn’t have an ax to grind.
