Kanye West is a genuine leader rising out of the wreckage here. It’s about time someone has said this, and I’m so proud of him that it brings tears to my eyes. The right wing corporate media will obviously do what they can to destroy him; but he’s said what needed to be said. And the culture war, which has been smoldering in America for many years beneath the surface, may finally move to the foreground. President Bush is responsible. All Kanye West did was utter the truth, as courageously as anyone ever has. Thank God.
