As a black American, I understand Kanye’s message perfectly. I’m glad that someone addressed the issue. Of course, Kanye will be vilified by the American press, but at least he said something. People don’t want to admit that race, color, and class play a large part in the relief aid given to New Orleans. I don’t recall the people in Florida ever having that much trouble. The American government has failed to step up to the plate.
