This is a really good editorial. Right on target! Perhaps there is some hope, however, even with the Republicans holding both houses of Congress. All members of Congress, even the Republicans, should really be furious with Bush for making his naked power grab under cover of "national danger." If we can arouse Congressional indignation against Bush, we have a chance to get him impeached, convicted, and removed from office. If the Republicans join us, and impeach both Bush and Cheney at the same time, they can still keep the Presidency! The Speaker Of The House becomes President if Bush and Cheney are both removed. So the House Republicans could elect whichever Member they want to be Speaker, and he would become President. So what do they lose by dumping Bush & Cheney? Nothing!
