People participating in the UK Local Social forum network met in Sheffield during on the 4/5th december and found consensus on this document to be brought to the Assembly which is going to be held in Paris the 18/19 December

A quick final update on the local social forum networking meeting happening in Sheffield this weekend. This looks like its lining up to be a really though-provoking and enjoyable weekend, bringing in a range of different experiences and opinions. The final details are:

Both European and World social forums aim to be spaces of open and pluralist democracy. They intend to bring together people who share the idea of possible alternatives to the neo-liberal model, as well as to facilitate the broader convergences through meetings and debates.

Thousands of anti-war and anti-globalization activists marched through central London and filled Trafalgar Square on Sunday to protest the U.S.-led coalition’s presence in Iraq.
