Dale Farm in Essex, England, is thought to be Europe’s largest gypsy/Irish traveller site, and on 31 August is facing the violent eviction of its 1000 residents.
The site was legally bought eleven years ago, but the local council refused to give planning permission for a permanent traveller site. The council have been harassing the travellers on the site for the past ten years to try to evict them.
Everyone from the United Nations to the Catholic church has supported the travellers, (...)

Only Right Wing Jews are allowed to spread xenophobia and hatred by Gilad Atzmon
“It (immigration) was a politically motivated attempt by ministers to transform the fundamental make-up and identity of this country (Britain). It was done to destroy the right of the British people to live in a society defined by a common history, religion, law, language and traditions.”

Violence is the first refuge of the incompetent-Isaac Asimov
It’s almost unbelievable but the end is near for the U.S. military and quite possibly, the end of war. The gravity of the President’s recent decision to allow gays to openly serve in the military is beginning to sink in and most of those speaking out say that they will take early retirement or quit and they will advise their sons and daughters or grandchildren not to join the military. Some say that for every gay (...)

Questions Q&A won’t ask on taxpayer-funded Australian ABC TV about Australia, Zionism & Apartheid Israel

Since the US-backed anti-Whitlam Coup in 1975 that removed the elected reformist Whitlam Labor Goverment from office, Australia has steadily moved to the Right. The Australian Labor Party quickly realized that in US-dominated Murdochracy Australia (70% of city daily newspapers are part of the Murdoch media empire), getting elected would mean "all the way with the USA". Unfortunately, since the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Apartheid Israel in 1967, the US has come to be dominated by (...)

(video) The Republicans’ all-out war on women
By :
Elizabeth Schulte - Thursday March 3, 2011
Reports on the right’s latest assault—and the stirrings of resistance.
ANTI-CHOICE Republicans are waging an all-out attack on women’s right to abortion—in Congress, where the Republican-run House voted to strip funding from Planned Parenthood; and in individual states, where legislators are proposing bills so extreme that they could ban abortions altogether.
But supporters of abortion rights are starting to push back. Thousands took part in marches across the (...)

A Tale of Three Nations: Freedom, Religion and the Rights of Women
By :
William John Cox - Thursday February 24, 2011
As the youth-led Freedom Movement of 2011 spreads rapidly across the Middle East and around the world, one can only wonder what would be happening in Iraq today if the U.S. had not invaded eight years ago. What does the movement portend for the rights of women in other nations, such as Tunisia and in the United States?
The rights of women continue to deteriorate in Iraq under the U.S. installed Shiite government; their status is now threatened by Islamists in Tunisia, the most secular of (...)

Did good ole white girl, Sarah Palin incite domestic terrorism according to the law? Sarah Palin put 20 Democratic members of Congress in her crosshairs, and Sarah Palin bragged that 18 are now gone, leaving Rep. Giffords and Rep. Nick Rahall of West Virginia. Hmmm, if she were Muslim, she’d be a Guantanamaran. Whiteness, a social construct and a source of privileges for whites around the world affords a spokes-model for white is right supremacy such as Palin, forms of (...)

Immigration, A Perennial Issue Of Concern In The U.S.
By :
Brian McAfee - Saturday September 25, 2010
The issue of immigration was brought to the forefront recently by Arizona’s discriminatory immigration law SB 1070, which would require police and other public officials to ask all or any Latino looking people to show their ID’s. This demonstrates an attitude oriented towards criminalizing immigrants in general and a hostile outlook towards Hispanics in particular. The anti-immigrant attitude was also evident in Utah a few months ago when a list was published and widely (...)

Israeli Education Ministry Approves New ’whites-only’ Settlement School

Several months ago, a religious school in the illegal Israeli settlement of Immanuel was criticized for segregating white Jewish students from non-white Jewish students in classes.

Nicolas Sarkozy evokes memories of Gestapo by rounding up Roma for expulsion

TWO boys stood in a gymnasium in an eastern Paris suburb yesterday and pondered their future. "I want to be a mechanic and a footballer," said Benjamin, 14.
"First, I’d like to go to school," he added.
His companion, who has also never been to school, wanted to be a journalist.
The boys’ immediate future is fairly certain. The French police will pack them off to Eastern Europe, along with other foreign Roma whom President Sarkozy plans to expel in a clampdown on illegal (...)

"White Power USA": The Crisis of Race in America
by grtv
The inauguration of President Barack Obama was hailed as a turning point in US race relations. The country was said to be entering a new era of post-racial politics, on the path to a future of greater diversity and tolerance. But while crowds flocked to Washington to witness the swearing in, others were refusing to join the party.
Racially motivated threats against Obama rose to new heights in the first months of his presidency, (...)

The Alchemy of Antisemitism

Alan Sabrosky’s recent and much-trumpeted statement that "Israel did 9/11" (e.g., here) is highly irrational and fuels, I suspect on purpose, the antisemitism that already plagues and undermines the "truth movement."
His "argument," such as it is, is easily debunked. It combines sense with nonsense, and it is very easy to distinguish the two, unless you are antisemitic, but that is precisely the problem.
Sensibly, Sabrovsky says:
"Several things are very clear to me from a (...)

Politically correct racism (PC racism) - Australia ignores huge Aboriginal & Muslim excess deaths
By :
Dr Gideon Polya - Wednesday March 3, 2010
Politically correct racist (PC racist) White Australia is treating its domestic Aboriginal (Indigenous) subjects and its overseas Muslim subjects (in Occupied Iraq and Occupied Afghanistan) like animals. White Australians vigorously object to being labelled as “racist” but are involved in the racist subjugation of other people and resolutely ignores the horrendous human cost of such involvements, notably the continuing dispossession and maltreatment of Aboriginal (...)

The 1 March protests saw immigrant workers in Europe down tools to raise awareness of the discrimination they face
A peaceful and colourful spectre seems to be haunting Europe. It’s a grassroots movement of migrants and activists claiming for participation and protesting against discriminatory immigration laws in France and in Italy. Monday 1 March, the first "day without immigrants, 24 hours without us" cannot but be considered a milestone in foreign (...)

June Terpstra, Ph.D. - Thursday January 14, 2010
I have recently been called to answer the question of with whom, when and where to align oneself as a warrior for social justice. These questions come up regularly in my teaching classes about resistance and revolution in a Justice Studies department in the USA. However, a more troubling and persistent call also comes from relationships with family members, neighbors and colleagues.
For some time now, a growing number of people, whether they call themselves right wingers, left wingers, (...)

To European democratic public opinion and the press that keeps it informed
Events in Italy have always – for better or worse – had an extraordinary influence on the whole of European society, from the Italian Renaissance to Fascism.
But, all too often, Europe has not become aware of these events in time. There is currently a great deal of attention in major European newspapers on some aspects of the crisis that has engulfed our country. But we believe that it is our duty (...)
