It’s not a matter of charisma---actually, Bush is loaded with it. And it’s not a matter of not being a good speaker, although his mangling of the English language is a national embarrassment. What ’s important is that:
1) Bush lies. He has lied to us. He has lied to Congress.
2) Bush doesn’t seem to KNOW a lot. Emotion is fine, but knowledge is necessary. When the President of the United States can’t think of enough to say to fill a two-minute spot, we’re in trouble.
