> Open letter to Senator John Kerry

10 November 2004, 04:07

Dear American Living in Massachusetts,

Thanks for publicly stroking yourself over your own patriotism. We’ll be sure to put you in for a Nobel Prize at the first opportunity.

Your suggestion that those who "don’t like the way the country is run" should leave is also highly constructive and typical of the way this adminstration and its backers think. By the way, with your opinions of Senator Kerry, you seem to be of the minority opinion in Massachusetts. Maybe you should consider moving to another state. You might feel better afterward.

As to your own critical capabilities, we see them pretty clearly with your paranoia of the "mainstream media" (who are those guys, anyway? Fox News? PBS? NBC? Sinclair Broadcasting? The Washington Post?) and your assessment of a 51-48 popular vote split and an electoral college that hung on the outcome of one state as an "overwhelming vote". By all means tell us more about yourself and continue to regale us with your intellectual insights. President Bush’s comments on the ability of the electorate in Massachusetts to think clearly seem to have been right on the mark in a your case, at least. I sure am glad he gets something right once in a while.

Best regards,
A Veteran Living in Washington State
