The article is well written and hits many key points. I agree that the majority of my fellow countrymen are not very well informed on many of the key issues that should concern them. As for being ashamed to being an American, I am not ashamed. For my Americanism is defined more by my own actions as an American and less on the actions of my peers. Do we watch too much TV, drink too much beer, and educate ourselves too little? Sure, I think that is possible, but don’t be so quick to judge us. We are not alone here. We are not the only one’s addicted to TV and violence, alchohol (...)
