What would you know? You were in the Air Force. I am a former Marine and the Drill Instructors were trying to get him ready to go to war. Unlike the Air Force, Marines actually do see COMBAT when they go overseas. There is no excuse for the kid drowning but, if the drill instructor hadn’t singled the kid out he would have gotten himself and probably other Marines killed on the battlefield because he was poorly trained. The DI DIDN’T CAUSE THE DROWNING BY GIVING THE KID A FOREARM TO THE CHEST.
