> AT LEAST 50 US SOLDIERS KILLED ON THURSDAY, APRIL 14

16 April 2005, 14:36

There is a huge disparity between the news reports Medialies is posting and the official Pentagon reports. E.g., with respect to al-Qa’im, the Pentagon has characterized this action as a "raid on a weapons-smuggling ring" during which NO U.S. deaths were reported. If the casualty figures are accurate, how will the U.S. military manage the news of these deaths? One possible way is to account for them as being caused by "accidents," particularly involving helicopter crashes since they are able to process numerous deaths with one "non-combat" incident.
