> What our kids don’t know can hurt us: Why it matters to know about Africa and the rest of the world

27 August 2005, 23:51

We hardly know about american history, hardly know our own history , how do you expect us to know about other parts of the world ? First learn about yourself, then start lounging your proboscis outwardly to see what is happening. Our educational system has become substandard and is heading south with the rapidity of an express train. Our schools are vomiting veritable ill educated , exhuding a pseudo erudition on inanities, lounge lizzards. It is a hopeless case, and the nerve of asking us to know about other places in this planet. It is like saying to a house owner not to worry in learning the configuration of his home but concentrate in learning about his neighbor’s house. Are they trying to make cuckoo birds out of us Americans ?
