A Bush Spy Hearing in Congress?

First, please only recommend this diary if you think others should see the information I’m posting.

I wanted to share with you an email I sent out to my supporters all across the country tonight. Just like all of you here I am outraged about the reports of President Bush’s authorization of eavesdropping on American citizens. Unfortunately, we are all too numb to an Administration — which has already sullied our reputation abroad as the torch bearer of democracy, and a free, open, and tolerant nation. However, this doesn’t mean we have to stay quiet.

We must act today and use our collective outrage to demand answers. I want to collect thousands of your petitions http://votelouise.com/page/petition... demanding hearings on Bush’s domestic spying and deliver them personally to Congressman James Sensenbrenner Jr., Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and Congressman Peter Hoekstra, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Please help us get the word out. And if you have any feedback on how we can keep up the drumbeat on this issue, please post your thoughts here. Thank you.

  • Some blogs have mentioned Bush spied on the Green Party (among other benign groups). What are the odds he followed in Nixon’s footsteps and spied on the Dems before election 2004?
