Recently Chinese officials have raided Hongtong Shanxi an area of Northern China and rescued almost 500 workers from slavery type conditions. The workers were forced to work in brick kilns, iron mines and coalmines. Some 29 of the workers were children and some were mentally disabled.
Of course the easy thing to do here in fat and happy America is to look down our nose at the Chinese. That’s the most wonderful aspect of outsourcing the corporate capitalist has the ability to bring about (...)

The Siege of Baghdad
12 June 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
It’s funny, in a sad sick almost perverse sort of way, but it seems the only people who listen to George Bush and take him seriously anymore is the insurgency. Several months after his royal hind ass made his now famous “bring em on” statement the insurgency issued their own proclamation saying in affect, we have brought it on do you have anything else you wish to say to us?
The on going political battle over Bushes insane surge, like Custer wishing for ten more men or Westmoreland’s (...) -
History’s Quiet Footsteps
11 June 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Al Gore commenting on the Supreme Court’s unprecedented decision and intrusion into Florida Election law in 2000 said, “I had to either accept the decision or continue to fight it which could have brought about a revolution.” He is right of course, and a revolution could have potentially cost thousands of lives and millions of dollars and thrown the nation into turmoil. Instead we had the peaceful if unlawful transference of power and what has that brought us since?
But I’m not (...) -
Impeachment For The Hell Of It
5 June 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 commentWe live in an age of cynicism, so cynical we admit defeat without really trying, I want to be an optimist, I do but the case against it is so strong. We forget that victory is immersed in defeat, the sapping of your enemy’s strength the blunting of his plans by nothing more than your damn insistence and refusal to admit defeat.
The pages of history are full of events where the little guy without a chance of victory destroyed the stronger opponent through shear obstinatnance. During the (...) -
The Case For Insanity
26 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
3 commentsWe bandy around the word insane, we call those who disagree with use crazy. We have a stereotyped image of a crazy person cowering in a fetal position gibbering incoherently. But mental illness and insanity are real, and at the highest levels of government are more than just debilitating they are threatening for the peaceful existence of the planet it’s self.
What sets mental illness apart is from physical illness is the ability of the person to hide the symptoms of the disease. For (...) -
Man is the Most Amazing Jack ass
24 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: They have their entrances and their exits:” Old Will Shakespeare knew his stuff, why that line alone is worth the price of admission. Now if you couple that with the famous Mark Twain quote, “Man is the most amazing Jack ass” you have a workable foundation for a philosophy of life and an insight into the mechanics of the world.
But it is too succinct to be a religion and far to humble to be a philosophy, now if Will and (...) -
God, it Just Gets Easier
22 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
5 commentsTo find subjects to write about I sometimes peruse the foreign press. Amazingly, I find great numbers of news stories that cease to be news once they cross the borders of the good old U.S.A. Perhaps it is our obsession with ourselves a sort of a whole nation contemplating their navel. After all between American Idol, drunken starlets and missing and murdered white women not every thing can make the front page. I find in the Japanese and Chinese newspapers have a greater interest in the (...)

Liar’s Primer
18 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
Having been a kid and now having been a parent I’m consider myself somewhat of an expert on the subject of lying. There are certain ground rules followed by even the most accomplished liars children, politicians, lawyers, newspaper editors everyone in the trade. First of all it’s never their fault they will never accept responsibility for anything associated with the calamity, “I wanted to be home on time Dad but I was riding with the guys and they promised me we’d be back on time.” Or (...)

Second Disaster to Strike Kansas
9 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
The deadly tornado that struck Greensburg Kansas last Friday was but the first affliction soon will come the second. As certainly as thunder follows lightning after a disaster of this magnitude comes the Bush full Monty stump speech full of euphemisms and faux promises of assistance. Coming soon to a disaster near you! George of the bungle will set up his standard kiss and consolation photo op offering kisses kind words and consolation but not much else. The administration learned (...)

Jared! Get You’re Fat Ass in Here
7 May 2007 par (Open-Publishing)
1 comment“Yes Sir,”
“How much are we paying you now to hawk our sandwiches?”
“I’m not certain sir, I’m not allowed to say publicly but since I’ve been your spokesperson your sales have jumped over two billion dollars a year.”
“I appreciate what you’ve done for the company but now there is a problem, that nice guy fat ass nerd sales pitch is beginning to back fire and it’s all your fault!”
“My fault sir? I don’t understand,”
“Your too nice people are forgetting what cold heartless bastards (...)
