Elections-Elected USA

Dear XXXXXX,
We are writing to inform you that we have organized another public hearing in Ohio on voting irregularities. We have already put together two of these hearings in Columbus on Saturday, November 13, and on Monday, November 15. Citizens testified under oath about their personal voting experiences. Many of those who testified spoke of standing in long lines, receiving misinformation, or using faulty voting machines. The hearings also revealed problems we’ve heard less about, such as cars being towed while the owners were voting.

Due to overwhelming turnout and high community concern, we will now host a meeting in Cincinnati. We invite voters and poll workers from around the state to testify on this year’s election at the following venues, tonight, November 18, starting at 6:30 pm:

Corryville Public Library
2802 Vine Street
Cincinnati, Ohio 45219

To get involved, sponsor this hearing, or testify please contact Bill Woods at 513-381-4041.

Please also note that Common Cause and several other national organizations are supporting a request for a recount of votes in the presidential race in Ohio. And, we are calling on Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, whose partisanship in this election has drawn comparisons to Katherine Harris in Florida, to remove himself from any recount related procedures. So if you have not done so already, please join us in signing our nationwide petition requesting that Secretary Blackwell remove himself from any and all recount procedures:

Please sign our petition and forward it to everyone you know so that we can help erase any doubt about the integrity of election process in Ohio.

Thank you for all that you do for Common Cause.

Sincerely,

Larry Higdon
Vice Chair, Common Cause Ohio
