It was not too long ago that,despite it’s faults, we looked to America to be a leader to a more just society.Democracy and dignity for human- kind were in our minds.The worm got into the apple barrel and it is bringing decay and rot.Can we only survive as a species when we are governed by Dictatorship?My it is looking dark.

Our only hope lies with the intelligence and awareness of the American People. In other words, we are screwed.
I live in Tampa, Florida. Not only is almost everyone I meet ignorant and uninformed about the most basic facts regarding current events, they dont want to know!
The Americans I encounter are lazy, selfish, and often downright evil:
Torture? So what, their Muslims, that means their terrorists, so nuke em all. Who cares what the rest of the world thinks, their a bunch of foreigners anyway! Its our way or no way!
We know whats going on in the world, we watch the TV news and we know all about who won American Idol. We are Gods chosen people. Thats why we drive our giant gas guzzling SUVs to Church every Sunday, so our Pastor can tell us how to vote. We support the troops- thats why we spent $3 on a yellow magnetic ribbon made in China, thats why we support God’s tool - George W. Bush - in keeping them over in Iraq indefinitely with no plan for withdrawal.
