Australia funded Saddam & insurgency, US, UK intelligence KNEW - did Bush & Blair KNOW & BETRAY?

Australia funded Saddam Hussein and thence the Iraqi insurgency to the tune of US$250 MILLION via a wheat sale kickback scam by monopoly company AWB (Australian Wheat Board). However despite the fact that everybody else involved, including Australian Intelligence, knew about the Iraqi kickback system, the Australian Government STILL denies having known. According to Opposition Leader Kim Beazley (a longstanding, loyal friend of America but opposed to the Iraq War): "I’m embarrassed as an Australian by what has happened here. We have funded the Iraqi insurgency. And that has so far killed or maimed two divisions worth of American soldiers and countless thousands of Iraqis”. Australia has betrayed its own soldiers as well as its allies.

US and UK Intelligence MUST have known and surely would have told their respective governments. Did Bush and Blair KNOW? Did Bush and Blair BETRAY their allies, their countries and their SOLDIERS?

The official Australian Cole Inquiry in Sydney, Australia is investigating the AWB kickback scam - but the Australian Government still denies being told anything. A succession of witnesses have testified about AWB corruption, public service incompetence and government “looking the other way” DESPITE dozens of warning e-mails sent to relevant Government Departments and copied to Ministers over 6 years (excuse: “we can’t read all our e-mails”), queries from the UN and the US Senate (excuse: “we trusted AWB”) and briefings from AWB itself in mid-2005 (excuse: “we weren’t told of AWB corruption”). Government politicians had shares in AWB and indeed the former Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson sold a stack of AWB shares just before the Volker Report on Iraqi kickback scams came out in October 2005 (see: http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/20... and http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/... ). THE BOTTOM-LINE is that Anglo-American and Anglo-Celtic (Anglo-Celtia) intelligence services MUST have known - that is what they DO, they had the technological capacity to find out and by 2000, according to prominent witnesses, just about EVERYONE with an interest (except ASSERTEDLY for the Australian Government) knew about the Iraqi kickback system (see MWC News: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/639... ).

Warren Reed (a former Australian Security and Intelligence Service (ASIS) agent) was asked by ABC journalist Helen Vatsikopoulos whether it was possible that Australian Intelligence would NOT have known about the AWB kick-backs to Saddam Hussein in violation of Australian and International Law. Warren Reed’s response: “Absolutely impossible, Helen, that they did not know. In fact, if you look at the core part of the governmental system in Canberra that has to do with our international survival, our role on the global stage, particularly trade-wise, Foreign Affairs, even eaves-dropping, the whole intelligence apparatus that’s geared to knowing these things. There is no way, absolutely no way, those sorts of people didn’t know ... So the Government did know. And I would defy the Prime Minister on oath to say he’d never heard anything about it, he had no knowledge at all that this could occur. If Mr Downer [Foreign Minister], and Mr Vaile [Deputy PM and Trade Minister] and our prime Minister had not an inkling that this sort of thing was going on, then they should be shot at dawn. The latest revelations of the AWB saga are reported DAILY by Australian media. However what has NOT been reported by lying, racist, holocaust-denying Australian Mainstream Media has been the HUMAN COST of this corrupt diversion, specifically 21,000 Iraqi infant lives as reported by Australian Senator Rachel Siewert (Hansard, Senate, Wednesday 1 March 2006, pp30-31; see http://www.aph.gov.au/hansard/senat... , http://www.newsvine.com/awb and MWC News: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/4679/26/ ).

The AWB corruption saga, called “Wheat for Weapons” by the Australian Opposition Labor Party, involves the highest in the land but Australian armed forces have been in the Gulf supervising Sanctions or making war on Iraq since 1990 - accordingly the AWB affair involves an outrageous Australian BETRAYAL of its own soldiers as well as an Australian BETRAYAL of its ALLIES. BUSH and BLAIR are party to immense, ongoing war crimes in Occupied Iraq and Afghanistan associated (so far) with 2.3 million post-invasion avoidable deaths (see MWC News: http://mwcnews.net/conten...). If Bush and Blair KNEW about Australian funding of Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi insurgency (and their intelligence services CERTAINLY knew) then they were party to TREASON and BETRAYED their COUNTRIES, their ALLIES and their own SOLDIERS.

US state terrorism is a law unto itself. Bush, Blair, Dr Rice (Dr Death) and their Coalition confreres will probably escape arraignment before the International Criminal Court. However American and British citizens NEED TO KNOW whether the US and UK intelligence services and administrations KNEW that Australia had been funding Saddam and Iraqi insurgency while Coalition soldiers were in the field. If Bush and Blair KNEW then they should be arraigned under domestic law for treason and betrayal of their soldiers in the field.
