Wars and conflicts Democracy Governments USA

My good pal (name withheld by my request) has a pat explanation for everything Bush has and will do.

Regarding the 2000 and 2004 election claims of rigging: "This sort of talk is mad. Pure tinfoil hat stuff. No proof whatsoever"

Regarding Cheney’s secret energy meetings with Enron and others: "The VP has every right to secrecy. We don’t want the enemy to know who’s getting contracts, do we?"

Regarding Bush lying us into war:
"This is the old Liberal Left wing claim and is absolutely baseless. We went for liberation, freedom and the spread of democracy"

Regarding claims of violations of the Geneva Convention with use of torture and rendering of prisoners to unknown destinations:"Albert Gonzales and George Bush have repeatedly claimed that the U.S. doesn’t "do torture". What else do we need to hear?"

Regarding illegal wiretapping and claims by many that Bush makes his own interpretation of what is "the rule of law": "George Bush needs all the help he can get to protect us from terrorists. The Congress gave him all the power he needs"

I give my pal all the respect he deserves for his inciteful and erudite examination of our current leaders. I sure hope he’s right.

(not!)

  • How unfortunate. All my right wing buddies are now convinced that Bush is the worst president in US history. It took them five years to wake up, but, hey, they are wide awake now. Not every Conservative is an idiot.

    • Attention benedict .... .... . Get a clue. Remember Hillary could rule, do you want THAT??????

    • We’ve got someone just as bad as Hillary now, numbnuts. Pay attention to the present and the future will be a lot easier to handle. My friends are very intelligent Conservatives, who now understand that the Republicans are socialists as much as the Democrats are. The Republican Party throughout their hold on power, let’s not forget that the White House has had a Republican ruling the roost for 17 of the last 25 years, have quadrupled the size of the Federal Government and have managed to increase the national debt by 8 times, ok, clueless one. Not only have increased the size of the Federal Government, but they have allowed this present administration to freely overstep its bounds, without a whisper of protest. A real Conservative holds the US Constitution SACROSANCT, something your ’beloved’ President regards as a "goddamned piece of paper", the words of an autocrat, not a Conservative. A Republican who still supports this administration cannot be considered a Conservative, a servile hypocrite, most definitely, but never call him a Conservative. Capice, numbnuts?
