Iraqi Genocide (>4M dead) & Western Holocaust Commission, Holocaust Minimization & Holocaust Denial

The recent boycotts and walkouts by holocaust-committing and holocaust–denying Western countries over the UN Anti-racism Forum raised again the false Zionist and pro-Zionist Western assertions of “holocaust denial” by Iranian President Ahmadinejad. In reality, President Ahmadinejad is clearly NOT a denier of this WW2 atrocity as revealed from his speech at the UN Anti-racism Forum : “[US-UK post-war Jewish colonization was] "in order to establish a racist government in the occupied Palestine…And in fact, in compensation for the dire consequences of racism in Europe, they helped bring to power the most cruel and repressive racist regime in Palestine" (see “Pro-war, pro-Zionist, racist countries boycott UN Racism Conference: Ahmadinejad’s comments CORRECT” “: http://bellaciao.org/en/spip.php?ar... ).

However this extraordinary example of Western dishonesty and hypocrisy should serve to put the spotlight on Western holocaust commission in the War on Terror and concurrent Western holocaust denial (unfortunately no such spotlight from the racist, lying, Zionist-beholden, holocaust-denying mainstream media of the Western Murdochracies).

The AP has reported an estimate by the Iraqi Puppet Government of how many people have been killed in Occupied Iraq since the illegal, war criminal US, UK and racist White Australian invasion (87,215 violent deaths) and that of the Iraq Body Count (91,466 - 99,861 violent deaths; incompetently based on deficient media reports in a brutally occupied country ) (see: http://www.newsvine.com/_news/2009/... ).

These estimates are 10 times lower than the estimate by US Just Foreign Policy of 1.3 million Iraqi deaths due to the US invasion and based on expert polling and analysis by the top UK ORB polling company and by top US medical epidemiologists (see Just Foreign Policy: http://www.justforeignpolicy.org/ir... ).

However to this appalling total we must add the estimated 1.0 million Iraqis (about 0.6 million of them under-5 year old infants) who have died avoidably under US Alliance Occupation due to deprivation and deprivation-exacerbated disease as a result of war criminal refusal of the Occupiers to supply life-sustaining food and medical services as unequivocally demanded by the Geneva Convention i.e. a total of 2.3 million post-invasion and violent and non-violent excess deaths. We should also add the 1.8 million violent and non-violent excess deaths associated with Iraq under Sanctions and Bombing to yield a total of 4.1 million violent and non-violent excess deaths in the period 1990-2009 (see “Iraqi Massacre Ignored by Media. The core messages from the WW2 Jewish Holocaust (5-6 million dead, 1 in 6 dying from deprivation) that are adhered to by all decent, anti-racist, humanitarian Jews (and indeed by all decent, anti-racist, humanitarians) are surely “zero tolerance for racism”, “never again to anyone”, “bear witness” and “zero tolerance for lying” - sacred injunctions ignored by lying, racist, Zionist-beholden, holocaust-ignoring Mainstream media and politicians in relation to the ongoing Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Genocides (post-invasion violent and non-violent excess deaths total 0.3 million, 2.3 million and 3-7 million, respectively; refugees total 7 million, 5-6 million and 3-4 million, respectively - Genocides as defined by Article 2 of the UN Genocide Convention ) (see: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/289... ).

Denial of the Palestinian, Iraqi and Afghan Holocausts is profoundly offensive to all decent, anti-racist, humanitarian Jews - and indeed to all decent, anti-racist, humanitarians - and can thus be seen as both anti-Jewish anti-Semitic as well as anti-Arab anti-Semitic and evidence of Islamophobic extremism – yet that is the position adopted through denial and minimization of the Iraqi Holocaust denial by Obama, the US, the BBC, the UK, Australia, the Australian ABC, Western Mainstream media and politicians in general and the Iraqi Puppet Government.

Who are the “minimizers” of the excess deaths in the Iraqi Holocaust (violent and non-violent excess deaths 2.3 million 2003-2009, 4.1 million 1990-2009, 5-6 million refugees)? Here are some examples (perhaps kind readers could send me links to other Iraqi Holocaust minimizers).

1. Extreme right-wing, pro-war, pro-fossil fuels Australian PM Kevin Rudd (ABC, 2007) estimated “61,000” (see: http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/cont... ).

4. The taxpayer-funded Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) racist, genocide-complicit White Australia ABC is even more modest in stating (2009) that “tens of thousands of Iraqis have died” (see ABC: http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/20... ).

Holocaust denial is entrenched in the pro-Zionist Western Murdochracies and even applies to the WW2 Holocaust. An extraordinary example of the extent of this sort of holocaust minimization or holocaust ignoring is that of an excellent book on Holocaust denial by Professor Tony Taylor entitled ”Denial. History betrayed” (Melbourne University Press, 2008) which is a very well written, well annotated and well referenced book that deals with the phenomenon of “holocaust denial” and, in general, the denial of horrendous abuses of humanity. This is an important book that should certainly be read by everyone and should be in every library. However inevitably “Denial” can be criticized and the most fundamental criticism is that this otherwise excellent Mainstream Anglo book, published by a prestigious Mainstream Anglo publisher, itself ignores major 20th century and ongoing 21st century holocausts and genocides due to Anglo-American imperialism, notably the 6-7 million victim 1943-1945 Bengali Holocaust in British-ruled India and the 9-11 million deaths associated with Anglo-American wars in Iraq (1990-2009) and Afghanistan (2001-2009) (see “Denial . How does current Western holocaust ignoring, minimization and denial compare with other Holocaust denial?

The most notorious example is that of historian expert on the Nazi German Third Reich, David Irving, who was sentenced to 3 years in imprison in Austria for alleged holocaust denial. However what did David Irving actually say? This is what David Irving said in interview with Eric Silver (Action Report, 28 February 2000: http://www.fpp.co.uk/online/00/05/S... ) Silver: Israeli and German researchers tried independently to estimate how many Jews died. They came to similar conclusions, between 5.6 million and 6.1 million. If you don’t accept such figures, how many Jews do you think did die? Irving: “I’m quite satisfied that the shootings on the Eastern Front happened, that these probably reached a total victim figure of one million”. Silver: What about the people who died in concentration camps? Irving: We have to ask two infuriating questions. Who is a Jew? And what do you mean by died? I appreciate the criminality of being taken out of your home in Vienna or Budapest and sent to Auschwitz, where you died of typhus. But is that being killed, or is it dying?”

If David Irving’s under-estimation of Jewish deaths in the Jewish Holocaust by a factor of about 5 merits 3 years in prison in an Austrian gaol, what then for Western media, academics and politicians who under-estimate the carnage of the Iraqi Holocaust by a factor of 40 - or indeed, worse still, like most Western Mainstream media, academics and politicians (like Obama) for those who simply look the other way? My personal view is that while holocaust denial, minimization and ignoring is repugnant, custodial punishment of such statements via criminal laws is censorship of free speech, unhelpful to scholarship and counterproductive i.e. such censorship inhibits scholarship and increases the risk of recurrence of such atrocities (as indeed demonstrated by the ongoing, Zionist-promoted Iraqi Genocide) .

Indeed I argue for No-penalty Criminalization of Genocide Denial (NCGD) which exposes, arraigns, tries and convicts Genocide Deniers – but preserves free speech by applying no penalty other than the public ignominy of transparent, judicial conviction for the crimes of Genocide Denial, Genocide Minimization or Genocide Ignoring (see: “Genocide denial - No-penalty criminalization required now”: http://mwcnews.net/content/view/124... ).
