In NATO powers and allied states, the media and politicians have embraced the Islamic conspiracy theory as the obvious and indisputable explanation for the September 11 attacks. But one man’s truth is another man’s lie. In the rest of the world, what prevails is the idea that the event was orchestrated by the neocons. This is, for example, the view of Ambassador Mohsen PakAein, in charge of Iran’s Afghan policy.
