Spyware has been around for quite a while, and now there is a big business in selling spyware blockers and virus detectors, which give computer owners a false sense of security. It is all a facade. Those with the power will use it... often and maliciously. The only way to be unaffected is to unplug yourself from the net, buy out of the system, and find a nice, quiet place to wait out the coming collapse of the empire. Or not.
