Maybe I am doing the author a disservice, but I have the distinct impression that he is trying to shift the greater part of the blame away from the president and his cronies. The Isrealis have infiltrated various organisations; the Italians created the forgeries, with the help of the Nigerians; the French and the Belgians handed them over; the British supported them with phantom "other intelligence." Somehow, the possibility that Bush, Cheney or others of that cabal may have been the instigators rather than the "victims" has gone straight past him; it was the CIA’s fault. Poor Georgie has been blinded by his convictions that Hussein is a bad boy! Boo hoo hoo.
