Thank you Yuri. Your response was encouraging and enlightening and you have an excellent grasp of English and the dilema unfolding here in the United States. I suspect that our "empire" will collapse the same as the Russian empire due to unsustainable debt. Same could be said for other empires such as the British, Spanish, German, Roman, so we do not have to do much research to see what the future holds. However, both our countries and people will survive even as our governments fail us. "The times they are a changing", as a popular American song suggests, but the average American has not a clue to their fate. I suspect that 10 years from now the pigeons we have raised will have come home to roost and bring with them a period of chaos. Things that Americans are not used to and will have trouble dealing with. We are a coddled bunch of ignorant and under educated oafs for the most part who trust the government to solve all our problems (Sound familiar?). Unfortunately, we are not prepared to fend for ourselves. The citizens of Russia may fare better than the citizens of the US because you have more resources. Meanwhile, the US imports 70% of it’s energy needs. Our biggest exports are jobs and $ and debt (bonds). This cannot end well so a few of us try to protect our families by buying a few silver and gold coins in case of a monetary collapse. It would not surprise me if the Government outlawed the possesion of such "evil" metals even though our Constitution still reads that only Gold and Silver shall serve as money. How are things in Russia these days? Do you have some words of wisdom for myself and my family? Our countries my be more similar than we know. Sincerely, Ethan Rath
