One of my big puzzles is how did Bush get to become any kind of politician? He had absolutely no aptitude, was lazy, spoiled, irritable, irresponsible, carefree and a typical frat boy who went whoring, drinking and snorting coke. Then supposedly some televangelists got hold of him, gave him a bible, and presto...he is qualified to become President???? Is it sufficient to have a rich and powerful daddy, who also has rich and powerful political friends, to foist your kid upon them as a model politician. Someone who was rather dumb, knew nothing of the world, couldn’t point out any foreign country on a map, knew no one in power in the world, couldn’t name any political leader in the world, thought Jesus was the greatest philosopher, read very little, was lackadaisical, failed at every job he ever had. HOw in hell did he get to be the Poster Boy for the Far Right? Is he that stupid, that much of a puppet Charlie McCarthy that he can be manipulated by the neocons into public eyesight as a viable candidate for the most prestigious position this nation can offer? Yes, that’s one of my big puzzles.
