I am (and always was) amazed at how Colin Powell and Condi Rice are able to make these statements. The statements would be profoundly amazing but not shocking coming from White pols but coming from someone who is a Black Americans is simply unbelievable.
I mean the prespective and experiences of Blacks in America is so divergent than Whites in America. The two live in two different worlds, except for some interfacing of the cultures in sports and to a much lesser extent at everyday jobs — where money to feed oneself is really the focus.
I am of the belief that there are some pathological problems in people like Colin and Condi, where they cannot attenuate their own conscience and subconsciousness and exist in the Majority Culture.
It should be noted that Colin was pushed out when his usefullness ended. I wonder what he thinks of himself now when he sees himself in the mirror. I wonder if a man like that thinks of what he will say when meeting his Creator. All the people he killed. All the lies he spoke dating back to his report on My Lai and before. I wonder if Condi thinks that humans born in Iran or Iraq do no possess a soul.
Makes my hair stand on end... Even to think that I may witness this questioning in the hereafter.
