> USED THE PHONE LATELY? WORRIED?

Precisely the correct move! I also cancelled my Bell South account after finding out through their customer service that they don’t have any legal department to speak of, after none of them could answer any of my questions pertaining to the NSA’s actions. Most of Bell South’s tech support people had no idea what I was talking about. One customer representative assured me that MaMa Bell had done nothing wrong, even though she admitted that she didn’t know of these violations of our privacy. Talk about weak assurances! I asked her: why in God’s name should any one in their right mind dish out an average of $60 a month for the last 12 years, as I have done, to a huge conglomerate that could not guarantee that my phone records would remain private? Warrantless access to any American’s private records is a clear violation of our Fourth Amendment Right. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Verizon, AT&T will soon have their hands full with giant class actions suits against them, precisely because they failed to protect our privacy.
People should not be surprised when many of these greedy giants in the telecommunications industry will, in the very near future, begin to dish out hundreds of millions of dollars in out of court settlements, simpy because they failed utterly in protecting our privacy.

Bottom line: America’s giant conglomerates do not care about anything at all except the Almighty Dollar, so let’s line them all in our cross hairs and gun them down where they will really bleed, in their motherfucking pocket books. Deny these assholes our money, and you will see how quickly they will turn around.
