> Iraq Veterans Facing Homelessness

An Iraqi child of 8 yrs witnesses the death of his brother, two sisters and his mother and father.
Their deaths are from US Air raids which also destroys his neighborhood.
Ismail has nowhere to go,is hungry and frightened. He has extremely traumatic nightmares of seeing his brothers legs mashed to a pulp, his mothers head sliced open from shrapnel and his sisters crushed by rubble. His father survived for two hours until his life blood ran out.
Ismail’s life is destroyed.. he has no food, no warmth and no shelter. He wanders the waistland of his neighborhood looking for a familiar face but cannot find one......... he was last seen walking away from the destruction of his home by an old woman whom has since died.
Where is Ismail now ? Is he still alive, can he survive physically , can he survive mentally.
What does he have to live for ? His family is gone
I suppose hope, hope for a future .... if he can understand that.
