Peace Candidates Step Forward to Challenge Bush Enablers

21 February 2008, 06:57, by Joseph C. Stockett "Hippie Joe"

This is exactly the reason I have filed as a candidate to run in the Democratic Primary for Congress in the 7th District of the State of Indiana. The Primary is May 6, 2008. There are seven candidates.

You can call me names, you marginalize my social position, you can ridicule my hairstyle, you can attack my credibility, and I will march on to a drummer of peaceful revolution through the power of principled dedication to ending a horrible and wasteful war.

In Indiana you don’t have any requirements other than being a registered voter in the political party in which you have filed a declaration. This can be challenged, but it would give you more publicity so the powers that be are not likely to say a word.

Then you can hook up with the Barack Obama folks and pressure the other candidates to support the anti-war Obama over the pro-war Clinton. Become candidates for peace by the millions! Flood the political process with millions of peace candidates! If I can be a candidate, anybody can! Go for it!

"I was homeless, I was in jail, I ate at the soup kitchen, I lived in a car,I slept under the bridge, I ate from a dumpster, I got my shoes from the trash, and I learned about class, I learned about hate, I crashed by the side of the West’s Golden Gate, I recyled old cans for a dollar or two while I watched homeless friends die younger than you, They put me on trial as a dangerous foe, the feds framed me good for the truth that I know, but I’ll take my stand and do what I can to bring peace to a nation that does not understand: the killing you do and the destruction you make will return in full force and then you’ll relate to the pain you inflicted without justice or cause on the Iraqi children with your bombs and your bloody death claws."
