A Single Lifetime

9 November 2008, 17:54, by Daveparts

I have more than one issue in my life but when writing I’ve found it best to only try and cover one topic at a time. Obama is not perfect or even my first choice as a candidate. However he is a very intelligent person a quality sadly lacking over the past eight years. He admires Lincoln also a far from a perfect man, he has voted against issues that I would not have voted against but he was not in authority and that changes everything.

I wrote a piece about historical perspective, and stated clearly that I did not vote for Obama because of his race. We have before us the most grievious political and economic times in a century. We have a youthful vigorous man who has reached the White House with a desire to solve these problems. A man who before the election began studying FDR’s first hundred days.

Just as Lincoln asked for every book in the Laibrary of Congress on war at the out break of the civil war. He’s not perfect and he’s not the messiah but he was the best man available at the time. While I might agree with Mckinney on many issues was she prepared to put together a national administration? Not hardly.
