Surely, you don’t think for a minute, the govt. is worried about unrest, do you? We’ve developed heat weapons, sound weapons, tasers, sonic weapons and microwave weapons - all non lethal, in order to quell just such unrest. That’s not to say they can’t be made lethal and probably will.
No, the coming upheaval is planned for, counted upon and welcomed by the US govt. The experiment in Democracy is over. They just need a reason to officially put it to rest.
