Reading Mr. Rood’s complete article not just blurbs that suit someones purpose is quite confusing when he states the swift boat vets "weren’t there" as the title of my local paper read. But in the article the author, Mr. Rood states that he himself wasn’t there on the day Kerry recieved his comendation for the Bronze Star. He then goes on to compare himself and John Kerry to another riverine warfare small boat captain (Lt. Michael Bernique) in what apppears to be in my humble opinion pages lifted from a book title "Brown Water, Black Berets" by Thomas Cutler, LCDR USN, pages 291-294. Proably not as we know journalists never make up or steal a story and call it the truth!
