Frankly, the murder of a 16 year old girl for having sex has no part of any thing worthy of the name culture, civilization, or religion. It’s pure animal savagery - in the West only America executes minors, but not for offenses less than murder. Nowhere in the West can you be jailed simply for practicing or proselytizing Islam; in most of the Islamic world, you can be jailed for promoting any other religion. Therefore, the Muslim world, not the West, is guilty of "sitting in judgement". This is a shame; when Europe was still backward and primitive, the Islamic world was a shining beacon of culture, scholarship, civilization, and tolerance. Now the situation is reversed. The sooner Muslims look in their hearts and confront the murderous daemon in their midst, the sooner Islam will once again stand for peace, brotherhood, and tolerance, and join the rest of the world in prosperity.
