You are right. I work with an audiologist who kept saying all through the debate that he was listening to something other than Jim or Mr. Kerry and we know it wasn’t the audience as they were silent. She said he had the look of her patients when they are in the soundbooth trying very hard to hear what is being said in their headset.
Another thing that has struck me is the difference between his speeches when he was Gov of Tx - he was able to speak complete sentences back then — but ever since Karl Rove has gotten into his head he has such a clipped hesitating way of speaking — wonder why?????
