> Ohio Recount activist run off the road

26 December 2004, 22:50

The sad part is, most of the people reading this urban myth are probably well educated. I supported Kerry to the extreme, but i know when to say its over and walk away with my head held high. I know this because I work in the election process as a government employee. I know that Ohio has many checks and balances that are in place. If people would take the time to go the local Boards of Elections and really get into the nuts and bolts of an Ohio election they would probably gain a little piece of mind. Please educate yourself, you have nothing to loose and lots to gain. I personally witnessed minor problems this election that could have been avoided if the so called watchers would have reported the problems instead of waiting till the election was over and Sen. Kerry lost. It was as though people turned their heads on problems, so they could be used for excuses at a later date to upset the results. The majority of problems are from poll workers and uninformed voters. Im sure every elections board would jump at the chance to have any of the people reading this column work the polls.

I would hate to live every day of my life not trusting anyone and always thinking that someone is trying to screw you over.
