Changing the meaning of democracy
Corporate money and personhood limit Americans from putting their money where their heart is. At this Christmas time, as borrowing and spending for war is being forced on Americans to bring “democracy” in Iraq, the economic plan to privatize Social Security being proposed by President Baal Bush will fail dismally because the root cause of our economic woes is the system itself. Why? Because the F.I.C.A. deductions from workers’ paychecks are no longer used to pay benefits, but to buy bonds. Usury, interest from the bonds, pays benefits. The Social Security Trust Fund was raided by Congress.
Until the mid-20th Century, debt was considered a temperorary condition, and certainly not a source of wealth to create money from. Taxation was used to retire debt. No more. Recently, Congress changed its philosophy. Corporate employers, the institutional church included, have embraced usury as the basis of our economic system, money lending at interest. This system, a capital offense in the Old Testament, is bleeding us to death. But Bush’s war on terror makes it OK as fear rules Americans.
Since the Johnson Administration enacted the Coinage Act of 1965, replacing the silver-backed dollar of real wealth required by the U.S. Constitution for Americans to pay taxes and retire debt, ALL money is borrowed into circulation. Thus more is owed than is lent. The only way to repay the original debt is to borrow additional money.
Hence the cyclical nature of our economy and the unjust means by which the lender, the Federal Reserve, has made debt slaves of the government and the people. The Fed is a private banking cartel. It pretends to be something it is not by the mere addition of Federal to its name.
EVERY dollar in circulation was borrowed from this group of super banks, most of which are based in Europe. This institution has never been audited! Suffice to say, it has become the single wealthiest entity in this world system and every dime it possesses has been gained in an immoral and illegal manner.
By removing this vampire from the throat of our country and seizing its fraudulently gained assets (the Congress shall have the power to coin money – not a group of independent super banks) the U.S. would immediately be out of debt with enough left over to fund even the wildest squanderings our Congress is capable of.
Guns and butter, folks, and you don’t pay a dime. Your taxes are reduced to 10% of your income with no hidden taxes elsewhere. Money is placed into circulation backed by precious metals and public lands as opposed to the valueless Federal Reserve Notes now used. www.libertydollar.org
Although it would throw the money-changers out of the temple and leave us debt-free, the plan is impossible to implement. Why again? The polarity of sin is diametrically opposed to abundance. No nation can raise hell and prosperity in the same field. The fruit of sin is poverty, and Bush’s religious faith-based charity initiative doesn’t realize this.
To be the church in this world, what must the church be? A new government?
For starters, it could advocate a classless system of society under which the socially required means of production are socially owned and controlled with production carried on for use through the democratic management of the useful producers. Let the constitutional amendments start flowing like they used to when womens’ suffrage was an issue. Let the striking workers’ picket signs read, “VOTE@WORK,” for the usury issue.
This is a worthy goal for the labor leaders to bring in the moneyless, classless society of democracy for our childrens’ future that complements the love of neighbor as self and ushers into history a long period of warless stewardship to let the Earth heal.
