The enemies of these United States could hardly have struck a deadlier blow against us than we’ve done to ourselves by giving this delinquent a hall pass for four more years. Patriots on both sides of the aisle will not — and must not — get over this. The moral test of a government is how it treats those who are at the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the aged; and those who are in the shadow of life, the sick, the needy, and the handicapped. Slightly more than half of our voters are so easily swayed, so misguided, so foolish, or so evil that they believe things ought to be this way.
