That is an unbelievably bad response. So a woman who has spent her life supposedly attempting to ’fix’ the corrupt system, is advocating the ’corruptness’ to save her.
I am not disagreeing with you that the system has problems but you have to agree that what Lynne Stewart said in her speech makes her no longer seem idealistic as she claims but wanting a system (jurors in Manhatten letting her off not based on the facts but based on ’mob rule’) to be manipulated to save her.
Shame on her. She should never have brought in the juror’s motives or desires into question. She has lost any credibility she had by saying that statement and all of her cronies are blind to this as they clapped along.
