Maybe somebody better go ask Rycroft about just exactly what he meant when he wrote what he thought Dearlove was telling them based on a few minutes of meetings with Colin Powell!
Isn’t it more plausible that Rycroft was building a case of his own for defending Blairs position by intimating a third party knew what was going on in Bush’s head as a result of a meeting with Colin Powell?
By the way, the dictionary definition of "fix" does not automatically mean "rigged" except to the 2 percenters here that HATE BUSH! It can mean adjust, amend, solidify, and a host of other terms.
I guess SOMEBODY better ask Rycroft BEFORE they get embaressed on this. It seems strange that the BBC has not run anything on this since before the Blair election a month ago —doesn’t it?
